Mobile Game Developer elkware Teams up with Siemens
Three new mobile phones by Siemens with pre-installed games by elkware.
Three of Siemens new mobiles will leave the factory with pre-installed games by elkware, Europe's leading developer for games for mobile phones. The outstanding technological features of the new generation models C65, CX65 and M65 presented last month at CeBIT in Germany offer an ideal platform for four of the newest moblie games by elkware: Photo Pet, Bubble Boost, Armageddon Agents and Contest Arena Pro.
One of the most interesting games is Photo Pet, which makes use of the Siemens C65's integrated camera. Gamers must breed their own little creature, entertain it with games and music and provide "food". This last item is provided through photographs. Depending on colour and type of the pictures taken, the creature grows and changes its temperament, allowing gamers to experiment by taking different kinds of photographs. On top of this, the C65 offers a graphically impressive, classical game of Jump 'n' Run with Bubble Boost in which gamers help the hero Luki lead his people from the Land of Shadows and defeat the evil Phantoms.
The new Siemens M65 is equipped with Armageddon Agents, a game of tactics inspired by PC strategy titles. From an isometric viewpoint, gamers lead their team through numerous levels, making tactical use of terrain and the team members' different skills.
Finally, the Siemens CX65 will feature Contest Arena Pro, an advanced version of the popular Shoot ’em-Up. Gamers create their own characters and assign them special attributes, making each creation unique. Successful combat wins the characters experience points to further improve their capabilities. And, gamers may even use their own photographs as portraits for their characters. These characters may also be sent to other Contest Arena gamers by sms, so that a figure of your own creation may appear in contests elsewhere. New features in the Pro version: Numerous new arenas, novel equipment, an improved opposing AI, improved graphics and a new dynamic high-score system.
