SAN JOSE, CA -
The answer to the ongoing question "What's Up Doc?™" asked by the world's most lovable hare, is that Infogrames North America, a leading publisher of interactive entertainment software, announced today, the shipment of Bugs Bunny Lost in Time for the PC.
The game begins with Bugs on his way to Pismo Beach when he makes a wrong turn at Albuquerque. As Bugs explores his surroundings, he discovers a time machine that he mistakes for a giant carrot juice dispenser and winds up in uncharted territory. In order to return, he must complete various tasks including gathering clocks and golden carrots.
Retaining the irresistible wit and charm of the classic cartoons, Bugs encounters old nemeses, including Elmer Fudd™, Yosemite Sam™, Daffy Duck™ and Marvin The Martian™ in settings ranging from the Stone Age, Medieval Times, the 1930s and the Pirate Years all the way to Dimension X. As the player walks Bugs through 21 levels of falling anvils and blasting cannons, he must obtain enough magic spells and special abilities to get to the next level where more perils await.
"By continuing to expand our Looney Tunes' titles to new platforms, we are able to serve an even larger audience," said Rick Reynolds, director of marketing for Infogrames North America's I-Heroes Label. "The ageless humor of Looney Tunes continues to entertain kids of all ages. Bugs Bunny Lost in Time is wholesome family entertainment at its finest."
Bugs Bunny Lost in Time appeals to fans of all ages. The single player title offers a tutorial level for beginners that teaches them how to use the controller to perform functions such as lifting, throwing, rolling and pushing objects, as well as adjusting the camera angle. Merlin the Wizard™ guides Bugs through the introductory levels and then sends him on his journey through time.
"Infogrames has accurately re-created situations that Bugs has historically gotten himself into and has succeeded in following the classic Looney Tunes' story lines," said Michael Harkavy, vice president, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Worldwide Publishing and Kids' WB! Music. "The incorporation of the authentic voices of the current Warner Bros. team, along with the physical mannerisms of each character gives the player the feel that they are in control of an actual cartoon episode."
