For the first time on British soil since his appearance at Sir Alex
Ferguson's testimonial, Cantona will be taking part in the inaugural
Dreamcast Beach Football Challenge at Richmond Athletic Ground on Saturday 15th July.

Since his sudden departure from the Premiership, Cantona's huge talents and natural flair have been directed into an alternative form of the game - beach football. Now representing the French national beach football team along side his old team mate Jean Pierre Papin, Cantona is set once again to unleash his formidable skills in the UK in front of 4,000 expectant football fanatics.

Cantona and his national team-mates will be battling it out against some of his oldest rivals from Liverpool and Arsenal and a few old friends from Manchester United.

Since the news broke DreamcastTM has left no bucket and spade unturned in preparing to import over 750 tonnes of golden sand and a few palm trees into the heart of London especially for the day.

Mike Sherlock, Managing Director of Sega UK said 'Few players have the ability Eric Cantona possesses, so it will be a honour and a pleasure for everyone to witness his return to British football at this year's Dreamcast Beach Football Challenge'.

The tournament will start at 1.00pm with the final being played at 5.00pm.
