THQ Wireless java games launch with NTT DoCoMo, Inc. – the world’s leading carrier for wireless games sales

It's Mobile Madness, and some other games too, as THQ Wireless and Konami join forces.

THQ Wireless, a subsidiary of leading videogame publisher THQ Inc., today announced that several of its leading wireless games are now available for users of the NTT DoCoMo, Inc. network. NTT DoCoMo, Inc. is the number one carrier in the world for wireless games.

Through a new co-publishing agreement with global entertainment company, Konami, several of THQ Wireless’ games, ring tones and pictures can now be downloaded from Konami’s game site ‘KONAMI NET’ through DoCoMo’s popular i-mode service.

Initially, five THQ wireless games will be available including WWE Mobile Madness, MLBPA Homerun Contest, Soccer, Bowling and Rotoball. Twelve MLBPA pictures will also be available as part of the image download service for screen savers accompanied by ‘America the Beautiful’ as a ring tone.

Mr. Amemiya, President of Konami Mobile and Online, Inc. said: “I strongly believe that this new exciting partnership between THQ Wireless and Konami Mobile and Online, Inc. will provide great value to our customers.”

New games and other content from THQ and Konami will be posted on the website every month with fifteen games scheduled for release by May 2003.
