Eidos Goes Berserk
Eidos Interactive announces it has signed a publishing deal with Ascii for Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage on Dreamcast.
Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces it has signed a publishing deal with Ascii (Japan) for Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage on Dreamcast. The agreement covers publishing rights in North America, Europe and Australia.
Based on a popular Japanese video series and comic the game topped the Japanese Dreamcast sales charts in December.
To be released in the spring of this year, Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage is set in medieval Europe, with the forces of good and evil battling for supremacy. You play the part of Guts, a lone knight, as he sets off to solve the mystery surrounding a curious disease that has put a village into quarantine. Set entirely in 3D, the player is free to roam the land in this 3rd
person action adventure with your double-edged sword and secondary
weapons such as crossbows and pistols.
