Demos and Downloadable Content For Namco Bandai Games’ Playstation®vita Launch Line Up

CERGY-PONTOISE, FRANCE – 8 February 2012 – NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe is all about the PlayStation®Vita today, with the news that a wealth of extra content for its three PS Vita launch titles is on its way via PlayStation®Network, including an app, demos and downloadable content (DLC). The PlayStation®Vita is scheduled to launch in Europe on February 22nd, 2012.

At launch and while stocks last, fans who buy the retail version of RIDGE RACER for PS® Vita will find a code in the box for a free ‘RIDGE RACER Gold Pass’ which unlocks a wealth of extra DLC content. The same Gold Pass is also available to all fans who purchase the digital version of the game on PlayStation®Network no later than March 31st. It will also be available for purchase on the PlayStation®Store for 6.99€ for all other players to enjoy. The Gold Pass will let players unlock the following DLC content as soon as they are released during February and March:

Five new cars: PROMESSA, ELENIE, DIGNISTAR, FATALITA and MELTFIRE
Three new courses: Old Central, Sunset Heights and Lost Ruins
Two new music tracks: NEW SONGS PACK 01
One new extended music mix: LONG MIX BGM 01In addition, an exclusive app for PlayStation®Vita will be available to download later this year featuring an interactive audio and video experience that will give fans a unique taste of this bold and glimmering entry into the RIDGE RACER series co-developed between NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. and the veteran developers at Cellius in Tokyo, Japan. From April, players looking for still more content will be able to purchase the ‘RIDGE RACER Silver Pass’ which gives access to every other piece of downloadable content available for the great value price of 5.99€.

Players wanting to check out stylish ninja action sequel Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen from Acquire Corp. and Spike Co. Ltd. can get a taste of Zen’s deadly assassin skills by downloading the free demo featuring a tutorial and one mission. Additional premium downloadable content in which players will battle against otherworldly creatures and bring down their 8 fearsome bosses will also be available post-launch, offering even more satisfying silent kills.Last but not least, Touch My Katamari is showering fans with pure Katamari joy, with a demo containing a tutorial and one mission scheduled to be available early March, plus a cosmic explosion of free and premium DLC to keep players rolling. With releases scheduled over the coming months, the free DLC comprises several typically weird and wonderful missions including Snowman!, Shopping, Maid, Downhill, PAC-MAN and Soccer and Downhill with Toro. Also lined up for release over the months ahead, different premium DLC will be available for the game. They will be split in categories such as Fan Damacy and Music, letting players unlock missions, broaden their Katamari musical horizons and more.
