EverQuest Fan Faire to be held in Europe for first time ever.

International publishing powerhouse, Ubi Soft Entertainment, announced today that they will be partnering with Sony Online Entertainment to bring the most successful massively multiplayer online role-playing game to life for gamers from all over Europe. For the first time ever, EverQuest fans in Europe will experience a real-life EverQuest Fan Faire. This event will honour the launch of the third expansion pack, EverQuest: The Shadows of Luclin scheduled for release this December.

For one magical medieval day, EverQuest fans will have the opportunity to venture forth from the utterly engrossing, almost real universe they create behind their keyboards to face their online friends. This meeting of virtual and reality will take place in a 14th century castle, 60 km outside of Paris on Saturday, September 15, 2001. Over 1200 gamers are expected to participate in an all day EverQuest extravaganza, including a massive treasure hunt and other game-based activities on the castle grounds. Guests at the Fan Faire will be treated to a medieval market place with live demonstrations by artisans and guilds, a copious banquet in the style of the period, and musicians to lend a musical atmosphere throughout the day.
