FIFA 14 on PC Will Not Use EA Sports Ignite Engine
Excited about EA Sports' FIFA 14 reveal last night? That Ignite engine must make for some rather interesting gameplay, right? Well, if you own a PC, expect to be locked out of all of that - the publisher has clarified that the home computer version of the game will not be using its newly-announced engine.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions will make use of the engine in order to deliver a number of marked technical improvements, including opponent AI and animation. But EA Sports FIFA community manager Rob Hodson confirmed that PC will be kept out of the loop.

"Clarification for the PC related questions earlier," he wrote on Twitter. "EA Sports Ignite will power FIFA 14 on Xbox One and PS4, not PC."

Well, that's a bugger.

Welcome to the U Zone, PC owners! Enjoy your stay!

(And then we can hear, next year, how there won't be a FIFA 15 on PC becuase, as it turns out, most gamers don't like being treated as red-headed stepchildren while EA focuses on the 'important customers'.)
