SEGA has confirmed that a new Sonic the Hedgehog title is in development for mobile devices. Titled Sonic Dash, the game is an endless-runner in the style of iOS hit Temple Run.
Sonic Dash was rumoured to be in the works after fansite The Sonic Stadium uncovered mention of the title by employees of UK-based Hardlight Studios. These guys had previously made vertical platformer, Sonic Jump, for iOS and Android devices.
A statement was then sent to Kotaku confirming the game. "At this time, Sega is able to confirm that we are working on a new mobile game titled Sonic Dash. We have not announced any specific details on the product but we will be releasing additional information on this exciting, new game in the near future."
