So what's happening to that BioShock game on the PlayStation Vita? Irrational's Ken Levine finally broke silence on the matter to reveal that production hasn't even started yet. He's waiting for the businessmen to get their shit together. On the
IGN podcast, Levine said he still wanted a
BioShock PS Vita game to happen. "I’ve got my fingers crossed that that’s going to happen, because it’s something I want to do... but until somebody starts signing the cheques, there’s nothing I can do."
He's referring to the fact that a deal between Take-Two, Irrational and Sony still has to be made before work on such a project can even begin.
Levine announced at E3 2011 that he was going to work on a BioShock game for the Vita, but it was largely seen as a token gesture to help drum up support for the new handheld.
Now, that handheld could do with his help. With Sony needing all the developer support it can muster with the Vita right now, it would probably be in the PlayStation maker's best interests to push a deal forward.
