Former Tory MP Louise Mensch Writes Her First Game Review
So what has former Conservative MP Louise Mensch been doing with herself since leaving politics? She seems to have cleanly avoided a potential drubbing at the next election (her husband's words, not ours) and instead taken to writing for the Daily Mirror. To talk about video games. I know, 'WTF', right?

Specifically, Mensch wrote a review of an iOS game. But not just any old iOS game - this was a port of the ZX Spectrum classic The Lords of Midnight, in honour of the passing of creator Mike Singleton earlier in 2012.

So, what does the minister-turned-games-reviewer think? It's a five-star rating, an "original, longed for and a perfect adaptation of a legendary game." Chris Wild's conversion is quite "unlike those Spectrum conversions that are strictly for nostalgia lovers," and will "enthrall any gamer" for its £2.99 asking price.

Granted, this review was posted back on December 22 and we've only just noticed this, but it's always worth seeing what kind of antics former MPs get up to. At least with her gaming background, we can breathe a sigh of relief that Mensch won't turn into the kind of pious scapegoat-branding opinion-ators that seem fit to dwell within the pages of the Daily Mail. Good for her!
