Yes, you might describe them as (Bio)shocking. No, you might not consider that to be a bad thing. In fact, while there's certainly a dash of BioShock's brand of retro sci-fi in there, developer Arkane seems to be giving Dishonored a look and atmosphere likely to set it apart from its peers.
The game's about a supernatural assassin, complete with a range of special abilities, bent on revenge. It's out later this year. Now look at the screens already.

Fascinating insight into the hitsory behind the games. It's still amazing to me even now how games like Battlespire managed to see the light of day when small teams were working round the clock to make the game but then let down by dodgy QA or poor marketing just prior to release. These days the teams and budgets are bigger and luckily they've learnt much from their past mistakes.
