In news that will make any Sonic the Hedgehog fan squeal with absolute joy (so imagine how I'm feeling right now), Japanese toy maker Good Smile Company has announced a partnership with SEGA that will see a collection of Nendoroid figures made in the form of the blue blur.
Nendoroids are small collectible figures, usually of popular anime or manga characters, with a chibi-style design that sees their heads inflated to a disproportionate size to their bodies. Their faces and body parts are movable and interchangable, so you can pose your figure in any which way you like.
This Sonic the Hedgehog figure will be released in April 2012 at a price of ¥3,500. At the current exchange rate, that's about £30, so you have to be sure you're a bit of a Sonic fan before you want to invest in this. But look at it. It's co cool! For your money, you get standing and running poses for the figure, as well as an item box, Chaos Emerald and point marker items.
