Codemasters has released its final developer diary for the upcoming F1 2011 and there's a long awaited addition as players finally get to experience the fun and games of the Safety Car.
The game also aims to get closer to its real-life counterpart than ever before with the introduction of KERS and DRS on its virtual vehicles. Both systems improve the performance of the high performance cars as they race around the nineteen tracks that make up this year's championship. Coupled with the introduction of Pirelli tyres for the first time, F1 2011 will be as near to being on the grid yourself.
F1 2011 is due for release on September 23rd. In the meantime, here's the video to explain things in more detail.
