CES kicks off today with some press conferences from Microsoft and Sony - with the latter teasing a new kind of Sony Ericsson phone that is likely to be unveiled later tonight.
Cue rumours that it could be the oft-talked about PlayStation Phone. But closer inspection of the latest (supposed) photos of the Android-PSP hybrid (via Japanese blog Forum 7 - click the images on the left to see them) suggest that the product we're seeing on Sony's CES banner would be too thin for the gamepad slider.
According to Electronista, Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg wants to make a lot of "noise" at the upcoming Mobile World Congress instead, so such an announcement would likely be held back for that. Still, nice mysterious new Sony Ericsson phone to look at, right? Just in case.
