Not only does Svend Joscelyne ply his trade as SPOnG's London correspondent. He's also the world's biggest Sonic the Hedgehog fan. As such his runs the tremendously successful Summer of Sonic Fan fest.
The latest one finished last weekend and was filled with the smiling faces of game fans without a cynical whim in the world.
When pressed to stop writing a feature for us, Svend commented, "I couldn't be happier with how the Summer of Sonic 2010 convention turned out. It was a colossal effort by Sega Community Manager Kevin Eva, stage manager Adam Tuff and myself, along with the superb dedication and hard work of the many people who helped us.
"It's amazing to think how far the event has grown in such a short space of time, and every year I'm bowled over by the arrival of fellow Sonic fans who just get it. It's all about having fun and meeting new friends that you otherwise wouldn't have done on the Internet. It brings people together, and we're more than happy - albeit totally knackered - to lay out a show for the most dedicated of Sonic fans."
