Jimi Hendrix On Rock Band Later This Year

Guitar legend Jimi Hendrix will soon be gracing a "new edition" of Rock Band later this year, thanks to a deal signed by stepsister and current manager of the musician's estate, Janie Hendrix. The news was confirmed in an LA Times article, but Harmonix is keeping schtum about what exactly the deal entails.

IGN asked Harmonix for comment and they said; "While we have not made any official announcements regarding Jimi Hendrix and Rock Band, we are excited to say that we are in discussions to bring more of his music to our platform. Stay tuned." The studio denied claims that the Hendrix package will come in the form of a standalone release.

So, DLC then? Who knows. Harmonix does.
