Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss Closed Beta Announce

Back in the good old days, a game called Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss came out and changed much of the world; certainly as SPOnG's editor is concerned having been taken through it by the game's creator, Richard Garriott at the latter's house.

"The sight of Ultima Underworld is breathtaking. This game is going to lead to sharp intakes of breath and some heavy rethinking by other software houses", were his words in PC Format... apparently.

Well, now EA and Mythic Entertainment have announced that they are "now accepting applications for the Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss closed beta test": visit here to try to get on.

Apparently, "Beta testers for Stygian Abyss, the upcoming expansion to one of the longest-running MMORPGs in history, will have the chance to experience the playable Gargoyle race before anyone else."

Closed beta testers must be current Ultima Online subscribers and will be selected based on computer system specs, previous testing experience, community involvement and other criteria.
