Square Wants £84m Out of Eidos by 2012

Square Enix's global president, Yoichi Wada, says he wants to make his company's money back on the Eidos acquisition by 2012.

"We would not have taken this decision to buy Eidos unless we thought that we could get our investment back within two to three years. If we had thought it would take five years, for example, then we wouldn't have made the acquisition", Wada told MCV.

The purchase of Eidos by Square was completed last week.

Square also confirmed in a press release today what was initially reported last month - Eidos will continue to operate independently from its Wimbledon premises.
