The BBC reports that Richard Thornhill, 34 - who appears to have a passing knowledge of narcotic labelling - bought 18-rated
Grand Theft Auto IV for his son to play. His son is 12 years old!
Actually, the BBC reports "Ecstasy pills found in X-Box game"... sure, we know it's "Xbox 360", but who wants the national broadcaster to fact things out?
Says the
Beeb, "Richard Thornhill, 34, found the drugs under the front cover of X-Box game
Grand Theft Auto IV, which he bought from Gamestation in Cheltenham."
The Thornhill pater says, "What made me feel the most distraught was the fact we let our 12-year-old play the game." He also points out that, "They had Mitsubishi signs on them, which I recalled meant they were ecstasy pills", he checked online to make sure. They were! Good guess.
GameStation commented, "We have rigorous procedures for accepting pre-owned titles and checking them before they are put back on sale.
"We have launched an investigation and will work closely with Cheltenham police to find out what happened."
