According to God of War 2 director, Cory Barlog, the then president of SCE Worldwide Studios was bemused as to why GOW 2 wouldn't appear on PS3.
Says Barlog of a meeting in which Harrison was shown the game. Phil commented, "Very good, thank you. I just have to ask this, since it seems like the obvious question. Why are we not doing this on PS3?"
Cory's considered response in an interview with 1up? "I think a lot of people were like, "It's a smart move to do it on PS2."
