2K Sports' NBA franchise has made realism its stock in trade for a few years now, and the dev team is looking to up the ante yet again with NBA 2K20.
Front and centre is the returning MyCareer mode which has been hailed by critics as best in class not just among basketball games, but among sports games in general. This year it's named 'When the Lights Are Brightest', a title that seems fitting for a mode that stars actors like Idris Elba, Rosario Dawson and a host of NBA stars. This time out you can scan in your face and really get down to nuts and bolts with customisation across over 100 archetypes and 50 new badges.
'The Neighbourhood' also makes a welcome return, coming with new events and sports that include Disc Golf and an F1-like match-up alongside returning faves like Dodgeball and Slam Ball. The whole neighbourhood is bigger and even comes with changing seasons, so as Autumn rolls round in the real world you can expect it to do the same as you shoot some in-game hoops.
The women's league - the WNBA - makes its first appearance this time out, with the game's physics adjusted to ensure that it offers a style of play all its own.
Other returning modes include the likes of card-trading MyTeam, the season mode MyLeague and the management end of the game, MyGM.
