Summary

The PC is one of the perfect platforms to present puzzle genres such as the point and click adventure. Sitting at a desk, thinking through various situations at your own leisure before coming to an enlightened conclusion – that, and the accessibility of the mouse means that a computer is great for some casual sleuthing.

Alchemia is the latest animated point and click game from Springtail Studio, the same people responsible for the Haluz series. The story begins as a boy unwittingly shoots a strange looking creature from the sky. As if the trauma and remorse isn't enough, the kid is haunted by the creature's soul, who would rather not be deceased at this point in time. It's agreed that the kid will help find another body for the creature so that it may live again.

The nearest place that such things could be found is the megapolis across the way – and thus begins a puzzling adventure to help the boy's friend replace his new robotic body. Traditional puzzles are coupled with real brainteasers that will require lateral thinking to overcome, and the game's wrapped up with some wonderful presentation that helps keep the player hooked from beginning to end.
