Wheelspin - Wii
Game Overview
|
Summary
For some, the greatest racing thrills and spills come from getting a sim that's as close to a real-life driving experience as is possible. For others, it's going faster than you ever dared dream in out-of-this-world situations. If you fall into the latter camp, you're in luck. Archer Maclean (of Archer Maclean's Pool and Mercury fame) has put his Awesome Play studio hard to work on a Wii racer that's literally as out-of-this-world as you can get - Wheelspin.

The title sets you off across brave new worlds where going slow is barely even an option. You'll be able to zoom about at speeds of up to 650kph on bizarre alien tracks as you satiate your need for speed. Solo mode challenges you to go it alone and beat challenges to get the best time, discovering shortcuts, hidden spanners and unlocking new stages as you go. Race mode pits you against other cars that twist, turn and throw you through the stratosphere! Then you've got Battle mode, which drives aggression levels all the way up to ten as cars compete to be the last one driving.
You're not stuck competing against computer-controller players, either. In Race and Battle modes up to eight human players can get involved.
The game also caters for a range of tastes the Wii Remote, Classic Controllers, Nunchuk, Nintendo GameCube controllers and force feedback racing wheels are all supported.
