While the souls of we human types have a pretty easy ride of it as we head off to the afterlife, it turns out that the souls of animals don't get such an easy ride. Sometimes they need a helping hand. That's what Soul Bubbles is all about. Players take on the role of a shaman whose task it is to guide souls inside bubbles through tricky environments so they can make it safely to the Other Place.
Well, that's what the box will tell you about. What it's really about is an inspired game mechanic built around the DS's touch screen functionality. Players must manipulate their bubbles by using the stylus to first draw them, then perform any number of actions such as deflating them and joining them with other bubbles. Having trouble with a fire that's blocking your path? You might want to fill a bubble with water and get the fire put out. Struggling to get through a small gap? You'd probably better split your bubble to make it fit through.
The action rolls out across eight worlds (each with their own unique features) and over 40 levels.
If all that isn't enough to grab you, just remember how much you used to enjoy bubble baths as a youngster.
