Summary

Designed to be a true yet accessible fishing simulation, Fisherman's Challenge offers five lakes teeming with seven species of fish. Entering into a series of hard-fought competitions, budding anglers have access to over 100 rod and reel combinations, while additional items such as Fish Mood indicators offer an insight into why the fish are biting and which bait is best used in certain situations.

The ultimate aim of the game is to rise through the ranks and become the highest earning professional angler across all tournaments. To achieve this, you must learn how to identify and exploit the best fishing spots at each lake, and also instinctively know which rod, tackle and technique will attract the biggest fish. To this end, players can either use one of the many boats on offer as they scour the beautifully realised locations in search of the biggest catches. Extra authenticity is also added via Fisherman's Challenge's stunning visuals, with the thrashing of the animated fish, visible struggles as the anglers reel them in, and the amazing scenery truly conveying the feel of a competitive fishing tournament.

With its wealth of secrets and subtle touches, Fisherman's Challenge is perfectly designed to appeal to both novice and die-hard anglers alike. Reward for huge hauls come in the form of unlockable secret items, while its huge array of baits, reels and rods will appease the more ardent home anglers. The game also boasts an entertaining two-player competitive mode, where two land-based anglers attempt to catch as many fish as possible within a limited period.
