The difficulty setting allows you to adjust easy your kart is to drive. For example, the beginner mode automatically selects steering assist and braking assist. Braking assist slows you down to almost the correct entry speed for the corner and steering assist prevents you from over compensating the steering. In amateur mode you lose the braking assist and in professional mode you have no assists whatsoever. Once you have learned the circuits, no assistance lets you powerslide the corners at ridiculous speeds, very fun.

The graphical standard in Kart Challenge is adequate, but nothing really to write home about. Most importantly, Kart Challenge plays well. You get a great feeling of satisfaction when you put in a particularly stunning lap. Learning when to break, when and how much to turn in to the corners and when to accelerate again is crucial to getting those quick lap times.

Kart Challenge is a good game for its price.
