Football is coming home to the Dreamcast once again in Silicon Dreams extremely playable UEFA Dream Soccer. One of the best football game series of recent years has been Worldwide Soccer on the Saturn and the Dreamcast. UEFA Dreams is the latest instalment in this series and has a great heritage to improve on. That’s exactly what Dream Soccer has achieved; this is one of the best football games around.

The graphics in EUFA Dream are displayed in high-resolution, detailed and run at a smooth frame rate. The players look realistic because they are made up of 2,500 polygons and were animated using sophisticated motion capture techniques. The players even have facial expressions and almost come to blows when they are fouled. The stadiums even look like their real life counterparts. The loading time of the last games has been drastically reduced and now you don’t have the chance to get a quick coffee.

The most important aspect of any game is its gameplay and EUFA Dream has plenty. It is balanced somewhere between arcade and simulation. Tactical passing and fancy moves to create opportunities, than a quick cross into the box, go for a header. The keepers managed to punch it out setting you up nicely for a volley from 25 feet out, goal. Playing this game makes you want to play real football. Four people can play at the same time and that is easily the best way to enjoy EUFA Dream Soccer.
