Tarzan is lost in the jungle when he his just a child and ends up being raised by apes. His development into adulthood is troubled and he must discover his identity as a human being. Disney have a reputation for producing quality films and games, Tarzan is no exception.

The gameplay is fast, addictive and simple to get into. The speed of the game is impressive and flows at smooth pace. The quality of the animation is of Disney’s high standard. Tarzan has a wide variety of moves available to him. He can run, jump, climb, crawl and swing through the levels using vines. You start the game as a child and slowly grow up throughout the game. In each level you have a certain number of bananas to collect and once you do you must find one of your friends to complete the level.

In Tarzan there 23 stages to explore and master which makes it a huge GameBoy game. There are even various sub-games designed with two players in mind. In hide-n-seek you hide yourself in a certain section of the level and your friend explores the level trying to find you. The player that takes the least amount of time wins. You can even use the Gameboy’s printer to print out pictures of this great game. Additionally, Tarzan features digitised music and full motion video. Features like this are very uncommon on the handheld platform.
