Doom man on game phone rethink

N-Gage 2 confirmed by Romero!
According to a recent interview, famed Doom developer John Romero has had hands-on access to the next-generation N-Gage, cementing our exclusive reports from last year, which saw us confirm that a revised hardware model was underway.

Talking to Russian site Compulenta, Romero stated that the device is significantly smaller than the original N-Gage and can be used as a phone by its face, avoiding the embarrassing "look, I have one giant elephant ear" look of the current incarnation.

It was also revealed that the rear of the machine will have a flip function, with the game cartridge becoming much easier to remove.

Speaking exclusively to us last year, Ray Haddow, head of product marketing and business development for the N-Gage, confirmed our initial reports. "We are constantly upgrading products and evolving successful lines, just look at our mobile phone output. We are aware of the feedback after the launch of the original. Nokia constantly releases upgrades to its products and N-Gage will be part of this process and will see a successor."

Perhaps E3 will see a fresh N-Gage conference - we'll let you know.

Dude, do you not know about the might Romero.

In the (mortal, and rather dreary) words of Robbie William, Let Me Educate You...

John (George to his friends (who all died in nasty (and mysterious) accidents) that night they spent in the last house on the left on haunted hill) A. "Glenn" ("Danzig") Romero is famous for having single-handedly (except with the help of his friends, and Lucio Fulci) invented the Zombie movie genre.

His 1968 classic Night of the Living Dead formed the basis for a Zombie trilogy including Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. These films had in common the fact that to defeat the baddies, you had to be careful to shoot them in the head. A knee shot was no more than a flesh wound to these guys, and both barrels of a 12-guage in the nads didn't even make them blink (mainly because their eyelids had already decayed).

He then moved into computer games, and made the classic Doom of the Dead game, wherein the player had to shoot lumbering undead createures, and guess what - head shots were best.

N-Gage 2 will be as big success as N-Gage 1!

It will make Nintendo not look at PSP, it will offend silly Englishmen with TV adverts and it will have Tomb Raider.

Again.

N-gayge will be a failure as well. Why did Nokia even bother with N-gayge 2 ? They will never attract plp into buying it. Unless is $50 and even so, it's not written on stones that it will become a big hit either.

You forgot the end bit. The bit where he sold his soul to Nokia at last year's shameference at E3. He also (really, this happened) took ecstacy and gave my girlfriend some, then tried to bone her. Which made me like him more, to be honest.

Shin-ku post office.

Dude, what stopped him? Did the site of yr girl in the nude make him wilt?

Or do you like him more because he boned you instead of her?
