Founded in 2005 by ex-World of Warcraft developers, and situated in Orange County, Carbine was perhaps known for its 2014 free-to-play MMORPG “Wildstar”
The company was acquired by NCSoft in 2007.
By 2016 NCSoft took the decision to axe half Carbine’s staff and finally, in 2018, close the studio and shutter the Wildstar servers.
