What is it with these mouth piece suits, they just seem to send out, mixed messages to confuse our minds.

Wii has a longer way than that to go yet, you only need look at the list of games on the way,(2007/08 to know this. Some believe that they can starve the Wii out of the market, by dodging its inferior tech and going straight to PS3 and 360. Hasn't anyone noticed the PS3 development exodus? With Nintendo the only ones out of the three making money, to not develop for Wii at some point would be truly madness, when you are in a money/game making business.

I've notice something else interesting, wasn't it these same people would said PSP would win and PS3 would sweep away the competition? Never underestimate the power of Nintendo and their branding. It's never over, til it's over. I'm surprised at a Sega mouth piece saying this.

All I can say after that is developers and publishers are very lucky, that 360 exists for them to move to, from PS3.

Could you provide evidence for this?

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I think I can answer that.

There are a few examples of this; one is Sega who ported Virtua Fighter 5, which was originally thought to be a PS3 exclusive.

"Sega will release the PS3-exclusive Virtua Fighter 5 in Japan on February 8, 2007, and then a couple of weeks later in the US on February 20.

The game will be a European launch title in March. SPOnG will be bringing you its full review of the title early in the new year."
rest here.

However, Virtua Fighter 5 was soon ported to the Xbox360.

"Yes, Virtua Fighter 5 is going to come out for Xbox 360 as well as Playstation 3. Sure there’s a small, timed exclusive for PS3 (VF5 PS3 is hitting NA in Feb. VF5 360 comes in Summer), but this is still horrible news for Sony."
rest here

The same thing happened with Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed:

"Assassin's Creed is coming to the Xbox 360. It's one of those secrets no one is supposed to know about (like Halo: Forerunners) yet everyone does. Sources close to Ubisoft have informed us that the game will definitely see release on Microsoft's platform." morehere.

Other games are rumoured to be ported to Xbox 360 including MGS4 (however, I seriously doubt that would happen) and Tekken 6 (again I doubt this will happen, then again recent instalments of Virtua Fighter were exclusive to the PS2 so no one can say for sure that it won't be ported.)

Until Sony gain some ground with the PS3 I think we'll see more big titles being shared between the two.

I've always fel that MGS4 will end up on Xbox 360 in some form or another.
MGS2 never came out on Xbox but the upgrade did.

This guy has something though. I can't see Wii staying popular for that long unless they bring out better games.
With the stuff out right now nah. it'll lose it's shine.
If the software is good it'll sta popular.

If....

Clearly SEGA still hates making money... as does Capcom...and Sony...
Now Square-Enix, they're being very smart and prolly making millions with their strategies. Take notes SEGA!!

I'm not talking about PS3 games being ported to the 360, but Joji suggested and stated in another thread that there was exodus of developers moving FROM the PS3 to the 360, and I've seen no evidence of this, (I'm happy to be proved wrong)

No evidence eh?

MGS4: Previously PS3 exclusive, now going onto 360 too
Tekken 6: Previously PS3 exclusive, now on 360 too.
Ace Combat 6
Assasin Creed
GTA 4
Fatal Inertia
FFXIII

If you look about there'll be more to come yet.

I believe for it to be an "exodus", developer would have to be abandoning PS3 for other platforms.

Right now I just see them covering bases during a difficult generational transition.

PS. the MGS4 on 360 is still just a tremor in the rumoursphere

tekken 6 and mgs4 is still a ps3 exclusives and all the other games you mentioned are still coming out for the ps3. so i can see where you get this ps3 developer exodus from. the question you should be asking is why these games are not coming out fo the wii...................................

Joji, you've provided examples of ports, I'm not on about that, look up the definition of the word EXODUS! that you used. You were implying that developers were leaving PS3 in favour of 360, you've still not provided any evidence of this.

Okay, so MGS4 isn't confirmed yet, but I get the impression Konami are just playing it down when it is already decided (and the way things are with PS3 they'd stupid not to). Like many they want to do the Humpty Dumpty bit on the wall, by not letting us know which way they are gonna jump on 360. Typical Konami.

At least the likes of Capcom and Namco aren't scared to commit to 360.
