Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has just sent us some news which, following the earlier letdown by Sega, has buoyed us right up again and lifted our spirits no end. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will be revealed at E3.
The press release informs us that: “Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will be one of several key releases on the Konami stand, and is certain to be one of the lead attractions of the 2006 show. Once again the work of series creator Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 slips past rival titles with ease with an impressive roster of new moves, licensed clubs, and gameplay modes.”
“It is fitting that the world’s leading video game show will this year feature the introduction of the leading football title,” said Martin Schneider, European PR and Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “The show will offer fans of the series an early glimpse of what will be a landmark title, and whet their appetites as we gear up for what will be a key release for Konami.”
We weren’t given any specific details about the title, or any screens (the ones you see here are of course from PES5) but we’ll be hooking up with Seabass himself to find out all you need to know out at E3 in just under two weeks time. At 5PM, LA time on May 10, 2006, SPOnG will be among the first journos in the world to get our sweaty paws on PES6.
At around 7PM LA time on the same day, you will be able to read right here what we thought, what we saw and what Seabass had to tell us.
