Sony Computer Entertainment has just unleashed the official God of War II: Divine Retribution website on an unsuspecting world, with screens and info and loads more GoW goodness to follow shortly.
God of War 2 is, of course, the sequel to last year's God of War and has just become - in the SPOnG office at least - the most anticipated PS2 game since, well, erm, Shadow of the Colossus.
If you have played the first game, you will understand. If you haven’t, then you need to get down to your local Station of Games and snap it up pretty damn sharpish. And pay attention in future!
God of War 2 – the PS2’s real swansong game (yes, we know we said that about Shadow of the Colossus, but cut us some slack) is marked down for a 2007 release. It has now become SPOnG’s most important job at E3 to find out more about this game. All we know so far, other than what we can see on
the official site, is that the game marks the return of anti-hero Kratos and the world of Ancient Greece, which seems to be controlled by extremely finicky gods.
We will, of course, be badgering our friends at Sony to get a few minutes with David Jaffe at E3 to quiz him about GoW2. Watch this space.
