Kudos to Activision for the success they have achieved in 2000.
In America, Activision has managed to gain a 7.6 percent market share, impressive considering the fierce competition of the multi-billion pound industry.
You may not be aware, but Activision started the games industry as we know it when they left Atari to become the first ever third-party game developer. They have always been a strong player, but 2000 is something of a record breaking year for them. Activision’s new market share can be credited to their line-up of quality titles, including the massively successful Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. We can’t wait for Tony Hawk making his way onto PlayStation 2 and Xbox this year. 2001 could be even better for Activision than 2000.
