Ken Kutaragi, head of all things PlayStation, has made the first mention of the PlayStation 4 to the world’s press, stating that his vision for the future sees the 'next next' PlayStation hit stores within then next ten years.
"My dream, and the dream of all my team, hasn't finished", Kutaragi told BBC Online. "In fact we haven't achieved even half of what we're going to do. We want to lead with the PlayStation 3, and beyond that to the PlayStation 4 within the next decade.”
Now the fact that a new PlayStation will follow the one that’s not out yet isn’t really a massive surprise, though it did enable us to write a news piece about PlayStation 4, which was as entertaining for us as it probably wasn’t to you. Sorry about that.

Is it just me or does the PS3 look like a fairly good designed jumbofridge that has been shrinked... it's me isn't it?
Sony seems to have the desire to extend the lifecycle of its consoles (with good profit-related reasons) which is one of Nintendo desires also to a point. Offcourse Microsoft has to screw things over with its megalomatic goals involving ruling the world...eeumh...gamemarket.

I would like to own a product with a long lifespan, rather than feeling like I have to buy a new one (or some) every few years, as well. However, I suppose we're still in the early stages of the computer game industry, so it's easier for them to make money by releasing a morepowerful machine. Eventually it won't be so easy, because graphics will be hard to improve. I'll probably be dead by then, unfortunately!
If the PS3 is so big and fat in reality, I can't wait to see a PSthree. It's gonna look so cute! I hope silver's not the only colour, either. Silver is a totally out-of-date colour. White is the colour! I suppose in Playstation Land, Ugly always has been the new Beautiful.

And the PS4 will run at what, 480fps at resolutions as high as 8000x4500, with cuadruple simultaneous outputs? Can't wait to play that on the one HDTV monitor I'll probably buy in 2 years or so.

it'll also have the ability to have up to 14 wireless controllers hooked up to it, and play on SS-HDTV (SUPER super high def) and you can dock your psp 5 in it and it turns into a hovercraft.
