Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition content explained

The continuation of a tradition…

Posted by Staff
Following the revelation that Perfect Dark would be seeing some kind of bonus gloss in one iteration, retail sources in the US have let slip what you can expect for your extra $10, likely to be £7 or so in the UK.

Perfect Dark Zero Standard Edition contains a game: Perfect Dark Zero, no less. More interestingly, Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition will comprise a two disc set, featuring the game on disc one, with a bonus disc containing The Art of Perfect Dark Zero video feature’, Kepi & Kat music track from the game, Perfect Dark Zero Gamer Tiles to customize your identity on Xbox Live, Perfect Dark Zero Heads-Up display (HUD) UI Skin to customize your Xbox 360 experience and the first chapter from the new novel, Perfect Dark: Initial Vector.

And we’re willing to bet that it comes in a shiny metal case too. We like that the tradition of releasing multiple version of a game, one packed to capacity with geek-obsessive ‘stuff’, is being perpetuated. Long may it continue.

Expect a detailed hands-on look at Perfect Dark Zero right here on SPOnG in the coming months.

Excellent. Halo 2, Doom 3 and Jade Empire all made it worth that little extra, and it's nice to see the idea continued.

Is it me or have MS got the "hardcore obsessive gamer" market sewn up?

I think it never really dawned on me the same thing until I did the PSP compo, I clicked all but two systems on the survey at the end.

They're not really interested in watching making ofs, though. It's more aimed at the sort of person who actually watches the extras on DVDs, which is frankly a very small demographic.

Then again, I got Halo 2 tinned, and the Doom one was good value. If only they could've put PD on there...

This from the guy who bought an X-Box with the promise of amazing games. He's still waiting for his wish to come true.

There's no sense being bitter for the success of a machine. MS has done just as nasty and underhanded deeds, if you want to be fair, to get where they are today. And they still CAN'T make the X-Box seem cool.

Hell that's it, when I get my 360, I'm gonna airbrush a Steve Urkel portrait on it just to solidify it's un-hipness in the gaming world.
