Time was when we’d sit around talking about all things Sega at school. Free from the burden of having girls show any interest in us, we were free to dream about the wonders of upcoming Mega CD games and paw through the pages of magazines. Magazines which had Yuji Naka in them a lot.
It was around this time we noticed that if You say “Yuji Knacker” out loud, it sounds exactly the same as Yuji Naka. You could swear and no one would ever know. An amusing was to pass the time and a brilliant way to share an in-joke with your fellow losers. We mean friends.
And the point of this news? Well, we were wondering what had happened to Sonic the Hedgehog and why Mr Naka wasn’t showing us lots of dazzling screenshots of the work-in-progress
we witnessed at E3 earlier this year. And then our friends at
UK “rummaging though female neighbours’ bins” Resistance pointed out these rather intriguing screens, showing Yuji Naka driving around Germany in a branded Sega car with man in a giant Sonic outfit doling out money at hedgehog sanctuaries.
And we’ll leave you with that…
