Sega: No Console Plans for Virtua Fighter 5 and HOTD4
Famitsu highlights current thinking.
According to the latest issue of Japanese weekly gaming bible Famitsu, Sega has no plans to make home console ports of either House of the Dead 4 or Virtua Fighter 5 at this time.
Both games were shown to wowed insiders at this year’s E3, SPOnG being one of the attendant wowees. Read full details of the monumental showing here.
Of course, this news far from rules out the games appearing in your living room. SPOnG believes that this coy mention of the titles more than likely reflects the interest in Virtua Fighter 5, a game both Sony and Microsoft will no doubt be courting for their next-generation rosters. As for the fate of House of the Dead...well, that’s another matter entirely.
Oh well, at least we still have AfterBurner and Sonic to while away the days fantasising about. Expect updates on all next-generation Sega projects in the coming months.
