It is. It’s a screen

Need For Speed: Most Wanted – Xbox 360 Screen
Erm, so here’s a screenshot taken from an Xbox 360 development kit playing host to Electronic Arts’ Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Yep, that’s what it is…

So what can we say about it? Well, we’re probably better off leaving that to you, in our forum, kindly supplied by our genius technical department and deployed at the bottom of this news story.

As you can see, it depicts one of those scary McLaren SL Mercedes that looks like a Batmobile concept a bit.

So that’s all from us. Enjoy.

[Ed: Don't forget you can see video footage of the game here ]

i dunno if its just the art direction and style or if there are some fancy effects going on... but am i the only one who thinks that NFS looks better than PGR? its not really unresonable... even thoser the cars are comparitivley blocky GT4 still looks "better" than forza... even though forza is much more detailed... i cant say enough about how much art direction matters... its just kind of sad when im using EA as an example... although with game liek LoTR and those shots of fight night they seem to be prewtty adept at at more with less... rambling again, bla bla bla...

discuss amongst your selves.

I have to disagree with your comments regarding Forza and Gran Turismo, LUPOS. Sony's effort may be a more artistic representation of a driving game, however Forza never tries to be a piece of art. It's a simulation first and foremost... It's art direction realistically represents real-life colours and shading, whereas sony have created a game which simply does not represent real life. For frak's sake, Gran Turismo still doesn't have damage modelling! What sort of simulation doesn't include damage modelling!!! For them to call it a simulation really is a joke. You're comparing apples to oranges.

you seem to have miss took me... which isnt entirely your fault, i am not a profesional writer... i think forza is a vastly superior game... in almost every conceivable way... however to look at scree shots of them both... even though i know technically (i do 3d modeling) that forza is rendering more realisticly... i.e. shadows and reflectiosn and such... it doesnt necesarily look the most realistic.

the lighting on gt4 is orobably over dramatic but it looks more cinematic... wheres as forza looks more like prerendered cut scene circa 1998... all shiny and plasticy... also the focus effect in gta does alot for it... but again... maybe im crazy.

I'd still say FORZA looked the better of the two, and I love the GT series. There is so little detail on anything but the car in that screenshot it's sad; the road has been blurred for one.
