Sega Europe CEO quits
JF Cecillion has been at the forefront of Sega Europe for the past two years and is the man responsible for implementing the Dreamcast life-style advertising campaign across Europe, a reason quoted by many, as one of the main reasons for the console’s lack of success.

Control of the European territory will now be handed over to Japanese Group president, Isao Okawa.

"I have enjoyed my time at Sega and worked with an exceptional team," Cecillion commented in a statement "I want to thank all the employees for their dedication, which ensured that we, as a team, met the ambitious targets that we set for the company. I know that the next phase of Dreamcast's life will be exciting, and I wish everyone at Sega much success."

The split is said to be on good terms with “pushed or shoved” issues to be resolved. Cecillion plans to follow other interests in the interactive entertaiment area, though no details of these were announced.
