Exclusive: Rare Duo Confirmed for Xbox 360 Launch
SPOnG can reveal that beleaguered developer Rare will release two launch titles for the Xbox 360, with the UK-based studio attempting to make good its promises made during the somewhat ill-fated Microsoft buy-out.

Regular web pundits will no doubt be used to reading various stories quoting ‘insider sources close to company X” being offered as gospel-strength proof about one bogus news story or another. Like this one for instance.

However, SPOnG has had it confirmed - yes, confirmed - by senior Rare sources close to both projects that Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero will be available from day one of Xbox 360 launch. Interestingly, both games started out life as GameCube titles. Three platforms and a hardware generation later, Rare finally has them ready.

Although neither game has been seen running outside of internal meetings, SPOnG has been granted access to a portion of the studio’s schedule. The Xbox 360 launch schedule in fact. Both games are marked as ‘launch’.

Expect to see both games featured in snippet form on the May 12 MTV showing, with concrete launch plans to be announced at Microsoft’s press conference before E3 commences. As mentioned in our report on the Xbox 360 hardware leaks, SPOnG will be running an excerpt of the E3 presentation later this week so - as ever - keep it locked.

Finally i have been waiting for PDZ since the original, and kameo seems like a cool idea. both will help the 360 *what and awfull name* have a nice launch.

Ah - I have happy memories of the Laptop gun from Perfect Dark.

So sad that Rare sold out to MS. I will never buy an MS console (for irrational personal hatred of MS reasons.)

Confirmed is it? Does anyone remember the 'confirmed' Xbox launch title, Malice?

All that glitzy showcasing it received alongside Munch's.

I don't care who says it's confirmed, least of all anyone from within Rare. I think your average Gaming Age forum poster - psycho fanboy that he is - is more reliable than anything coming from Rare.

Maybe this tard is really über-t**t Zeo in disguise? After all, MichiyoYoshiku got his f**ktard arse banned on MagicBox, of all places, and just like Zeo he keeps posting about hating it here. I guess he just can't help being an Xbox fanboy who can't cope with Spong hitting the nail on the head with all things Xbox360. Or maybe he works for Microsoft :-/

Hey, Mr MichiyoYoshiku! You wrote on Gametrailers forum just a couple of weeks ago that "IT'S NOT CALLED XBOX 360 YET". I bet you wet yourself with shame when you saw that "Xbox2" case image, with "Xbox360" carved into the front.

Haha! Man, you got owned by Spong. Now f**k off and leave us to meaningful discussions.

Its a shame this is "confirmed", i doubt rare will have this as a launch title, and it will probably be s**te now. You see on the N64 it had a cool, kick ass team. Now Rare are tired old and ammateurish. They make good games but no longer can they make fantastic games like they did with nintendo.

Fact is most of the rare team left after Perfect Dark, so im soz guys but PDZ aint gona be any thing special unless Rare work in conjunction with nintendo.
