With the original Xbox all but forgotten in the Land of the Rising Sun, Microsoft’s courtship of Japanese publishing and development support for its next console has been one of the key areas of focus for the Redmond giant.
And news in the latest issue of Japanese games magazine Dorimaga sees further gains, with support from Sega and From Software announced. Details are scant right now, though From has confirmed it has begun work on a mech title for 360, as well as beginning to look at possible future projects.
Sega is remaining tight-lipped as ever over what it plans for the machine, though SPOnG feels it is unlikely there will be massive levels of exclusive support for Microsoft, following the mauling several key franchises endured following that path in the current generation of Xbox.
It’s also worth mentioning that Sega is as loose as a divorcee over the bins on a Friday night when it comes to dropping its development knickers, with pretty much every single platform ever announced seeing some game offering or another.
Expect details of Sega and From Software’s plans to emerge next month.
