OK chaps you know the score with Dead or Alive. It’s a fantastic 3D fighting game from old school Japanese arcade gurus Tecmo, which has brought us such innovations as split-level 3D battling. And err, they employed a guy just to animate the breasts of the delightful female characters… This is just a fact, and we like it. Mixing violence with sexual imagery is a Japanese institution and the Dead or Alive series from Tecmo is a fine example of this.
Anyway, Mindfire entertainment, the company that in October of 2000, announced it had struck a deal with Sega to release a movie of the House of the Dead, has now secured the rights to produce a movie of Dead or Alive. Details are thin on the ground at the moment, and there is no indication whether the film will be live action or animated.
