Sega commit to further retro gaming
Sega has made another step towards pleasing it’s dedicated following by announcing the complete games list to be included on the Smash Pack disc. Having already confirmed the existence of an in-house MegaDrive emulator for the Dreamcast, the 16-Bit games to be included in the bundle are:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Altered Beast (oh no!)
Vectorman
Golden Axe (hooray!)
Revenge of Shinobi
Columns
Streets of Rage
Phantasy Star 2
Wrestle War
Shining Force

In a move that has surprised everyone, Sega will also be including the Arcade, Japanese Dreamcast and Saturn Game Virtua Cop 2, and a version of the puzzle game Sega Swirl. Which version of Virtua Cop Sega will choose to include is as yet unclear, as the Japan only Dreamcast game was a port of the PC version, which was a port of the Saturn version, which was a port of the arcade version. Confused? You should be.

The Smash Pack disc now features on all Sega release schedules with a TBA release date. We’ll keep you posted on any developments and, you may be interested to know that the disc will come bundled with a machine in the States along with a few other goodies so keep your eyes peeled.
