Hidden within its financial reports, French publishing giant Ubisoft has made one of the strongest confirmed commitments to next generation gaming to date, outlining three titles for what the firm describes only as 'next generation consoles'.
The games mentioned are Splinter Cell 4, a game still without its exciting subtitle, Killing Day, a tentatively titled offering which is still something of a mystery, Peter Jackson’s King Kong and Ghost Recon 3.
Other points of interest offered by Ubi include a version of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for Sony’s PSP and Lunar Genesis for Nintendo DS.
Tellingly, the first mention of next generation support is in Q2 of this financial year, making Ubisoft the latest company to plant an early winter release on Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox 360.
