ICO 2, also known as NICO, also known as Wanda and the Colossus, AKA Wanda Vs Colossus has been confirmed for a European release in Autumn 2005.
The news scotches rather weak gossip that had claimed Sony Computer Entertainment was looking to distance itself from the game, with a third-party publisher being sought. Clearly, this was never the case.
The game - in Europe at the very least - will be known as Shadow of the Colossus, a title expected to be used for the US release too. No mention of the final Japanese name, and no mention as to whether a subtitle referring to ICO will be included were made.
As you may be aware, ICO is one of those games that was seized upon by the mainstream press as proof that the games industry had more to offer than killing things and racing cars. Some argue that it’s little more than a boy with a stick, though the inherent beauty of the game is undeniable.

Sony, you have to shout about this game more. It's looking wonderful . I'd like to see Sony perhaps offering the original Ico on to PSP since so many people missed it.

I'm so excited. It is coming this year. I hope my poor old PS2 lives until the autumn... I fear it has alzheimer's. It doesn't always recognise Pro Evo anymore.
