Close quarters combat and the threat of international terrorism is manifold in the 2005 action-shooter The Regiment. Based on tales of terror from former members of the Special Air Service, The Regiment puts you in charge of a team of four soldiers determined to tackle terrorism wherever it rears its ugly head.
Powered by the Unreal engine and featuring Karma physics, this all-action FPS has been created with massive input from the Counter Revolutionary Warfare wing of Britain's very own SAS. Verily, a recreation of the incident that really put the SAS in the public eye - the Iranian Embassy siege in 1980 - is among one of the scenarios available for recreation.
With single-player campaigns and a host of multiplayer options on offer, The Regiment should be one to look out for in 2005.
