So yesterday SPOnG began receiving shots of a suitcase from Japan. The suitcase contained some Nike Shox trainers, a t-shirt, and a copy of Gran Turismo 4.
There was talk that the t-shirt unlocks a special car, called the Nike One, when held up in front of the EyeToy camera. Well, it’s all true.
The package, called Nike Gran Turismo Limited Edition, will include a pair of Total Magia II GT LE trainers too; which are rather nice, as you can see from the shots.
Depressingly, if predictably, this pack is for Japan only; though of course SPOnG put on its best blagging hat in the hope of getting our hands, or should that be feet, on, or should that be in, one, or should that be in two... Anyway, it didn’t work.
Curses.
As to whether the Nike One car will be available in Gran Turismo releases outside of Japan is unknown. However, wearing our cynical hats, we might assume that the delays that have plagued the game might well be down to attending day-long press conferences for convoluted cross-product tie-ins.
