PAL SVC Chaos confirmed for start of 2005

SNK's latest thrash-a-thon ready to hit Euro-consoles

Just moments (well, days actually) after the release of Street Fighter Anniversary for the Xbox, Ignition Entertainment has issued an official PAL release date for its own 2D beat ‘em up contender: SVC Chaos SNK versus Capcom. That will be January 5th, when it will retail for the more than acceptable price of £19.99, both for PS2 and Xbox.

For owners of both consoles, the decision will be a straight forward one. The Xbox version will have the clear advantage: with full Live compatible online battling, and also a customisable fighter option.

The 2D beat ‘em up genre is about to enjoy a minor resurgence, with Guilty Gear and King of Fighters games also joining the roster. We’ll bring you a full round-up in the next few days.

Sweet that's what we want. Cheers Ignition. Cheap sweet and quick gaming, and online too. Excellent.

Now why isn't the PS2 version online too? Sony, you slags, you have no excuse. I really have to bag an Xbox for that.

Hmm, £20. I like. Shame that price was probably brought about purely because of Sony's attitude to 2D gaming.

I'll be picking this up. However, if anybody chooses to play as Goenitz in a Live session, blood will be spilt (even if an air journey is required). Damn, that guy is cheap.
